The French Heritage Language Program (FHLP) is designed to support and enrich the teaching and learning of the French language for students of French-speaking background enrolled in United States public schools. Our primary objectives are to help these students maintain proficiency in French, while keeping a connection to their respective cultures and identities, and increase their opportunities for success.
This program started in the City of Miami in 2009 through a partnership between French American Cultural Exchange and the Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance (Alyans Atizay Ayisyen) with the support of the City of Miami and the French Consulate in Miami.
